Valley View Wine Sales

The Brut Rèserve is 90% Pinot Noir and 10% Chardonnay, is 25% vintage 2000,25% 2001, and 50% 2003. It has hung out in the cellar since then, emerging after five years and ready to go. This is a splendid, masculine champagne, with a surprising amount of minerality. They said it was bready, but I didn’t get that. Instead, a lovely, long finish that didn’t end. Quite magical.
